Trip to Ohio--Part 7: The Waterpark

Tuesday was supposed to be the day the menfolk left to go fishing on the lake. But it was so blistering hot, and after they spent Monday afternoon prepping the boat, they decided it was too hot to enjoy a day on the water. So we changed plans and headed to the water park.

David was in heaven! It was a fantastic setup, with a large area for small children to safely play, so I could keep an eye on David without hovering over his every move.
He's still asking to go back to the park where he got to pull the levers. Conveniently, those levers allowed him to squirt water at other swimmers.
This whole idea of water play was novel to this little boy.
He loved every minute of it!
David was confident enough, and just barely big enough to go down the big water slide in a double inner tube. It was the highlight of his day!
 Uncle Andrew and Evelyn.
Aunt Meredith and Elyce. It took a lot of convincing for Elyce to try the slide. Her first time down was a great success!
But her second time was a little more tortorous--for no apparent reason, but it was very clear that she was hanging on for dear life by the end of it.
Another run with Uncle Andrew and Aunt Meredith.
We sat out of the water for 1 1/2 hours while a lightning storm passed, but it was not in vain--because we were allowed to eventually resume the water play.
That night we went to eat at a pizza buffet--which was a perfect way to end such an exhausting day.
