Your Change, Sir

Fall means change, and it brought a big change to our house this year. Sam changed jobs--he traded billable hours for banker's hours, and we are glad to see a lot more of him in the evenings and on weekends. We are especially glad that tax busy season is a thing of the past. His new job as an internal auditor at Alaska USA Federal Credit Union seems to be a great fit. Many many accountants begin in public accounting, then change paths to find a specialty. We knew this job change would come at some point in Sam's career and we feel grateful that the change happened so smoothly and quickly for him. He feels grateful for the skills he learned in public accounting. And we are all thrilled that he loves his new job so much!

Here's David on a fall stroll. Behind him, the tall building is where Sam used to work. If I had a wide angle lens, I would have caught Sam's new office in the picture just to the left of David. He works only a few blocks from his previous employer, and kiddy corner from this beautiful park. Next summer we'll have to meet him for lunch at the park. And fly kites together.
