Push Along

Alina has taken her sweet time in learning to walk.

She has found pently of interest in any object she can push around and go through the motion of walking without taking the risk. She'll find toy bins, food storage buckets, chairs, her push along toy . . . . anything that's light enough for her to scoot across the floor has given her time to practice her skill.

She concentrates while she works hard at this whole walking thing.


Totally non-discriminatory in what she chooses to push around the floor, as long as she's strong enough to make it move.

As a side note, Alina hasn't been using the furniture to walk along for support. She goes to the center of the room, sticks her bum in the air, carefully straightens her legs while her hands support her weight, then slowly tries to stand up. Once there's any kind of balance, she takes off walking, but would generally make it only half a step before she fell because so much was going on at once. There's easier ways to figure this out, Baby Girl, but she seems pretty content on doing this her very own style. She fell so often with her method of learning to balance, stand, then take off walking that she started enjoying the laughs she got from David at her failed attempts. So now she employs this "trick" any time she wants to make her brother laugh.

We are easily entertained by this sweet girl. 

Turns out she can be a real ham when she wants to be.
