The Day the Cousins Came

As promised, David's cousins arrived at Grandma's house. We had a family come from Arizona, another one from New Mexico, and a third one from Idaho. First order of business was to have a picnic barbecue on that gorgeous green lawn! Here are Grandma and Aunt Monica (aka "auntie") some of the grandkids.
Alina was busy having her own picnic by herself, and didn't care too much to be disturbed until she polished off the creamy good stuff.

Once she was done with her bottle, she was happy to play with her cousin, Brigham.

Alina loved the feel of the grass--what a happy girl!
After dinner, Uncles Logan and Matt helped the kids set up a softball game. David was excited to play, and it was good for him to have other players to share the ball with. Usually our attempts at baseball and softball are just the two of us, so it's always good to increase our numbers and learn to play with a team.

Lots of great coaching from the Uncles, and encouragement from his cousins. David ran the bases while holding up his britches. I have yet to find britches for our skinny boy that will easily stay up while he plays. It's just part of how he handles life--take a few steps, tug on your belt loops.
Let the parties begin!
