Solstice and Strawberries

Summer Solstice 2010 found us downtown watching Capri's kickball game.
David checked in so Capri would know her biggest fan was present.
We cheered extra loud after she caught a fly ball in center field!
Then he helped himself to the strawberries:
We brought a whole picnic, and strawberries were supposed to be our dessert.
He wasn't interested in anything else--not even the cheese slices on his sandwich could deter him.
David found his love and loved what he found.
As we packed up, Sam and I teased each other about eating all the strawberries without leaving any for the other. That's when we realized that David polished off the entire 1-lb container by himself.
Notice his method in the above picture--he took a bite out of each one.
It's like licking the cupcake so no one else wants it.
Mmmm. Dirt and berries. That was a fun picnic.

How fun you can go take a picnic to Pri's kickball game! Hooray for strawberries. Should I tell you they are on sale for 88 cents/lb. David can come live with me and him and Lil O can share the strawberries.
