David is moving faster than the camera these days, so we have limited pictures that capture what he is up to. He is walking--but still not really steady on his feet. He'll walk for a good 10-12 feet, and will even venture to turn himself around in a full circle if he wants to change directions. He keeps his hands out front for balance, and an excited (squealy) giggle goes with him while he walks.
For a week after his first birthday, David was sick. It was a viral-turned pneumonia. We feel grateful for a skilled pediatrician and antibiotics! While he was sick (for six days) he had an appetite only for mandarin oranges. Good for Vitamin C at least, right! The kid has some sense of what's good for him. But now we are reintroducing foods to him, and finding out that his palate is a lot more picky this time around. The good news is that he didn't lose his love for cheese, and I'm sure he'd be happy to eat cheese for every meal if we let him.
We sure love our little guy! He keeps us on our toes. We try to keep up with him.
